Most physical and psychological violence in today’s society is committed by men. In addition to the human suffering it causes, violence has a colossal cost for society in terms of health care, legal costs, road safety… It is a financial and social burden that weighs heavily on the community. In the wake of the Gisèle Pélicot affair, this film gives a voice to men who want to see things change. Each of them once recognized himself in these statistics, but they have all taken a step back from their past behavior and tell us about the evolution in their relationship with virility and its injunctions. They all agree that education about violence begins at an early age, and that if society is to evolve, the way their sons – our sons – are raised needs to be reviewed. Through the testimonies of these men, along with the words of experts and innovative prevention and awareness-raising initiatives, this film examines the weight of toxic masculinity on society, its origins and its repercussions.
