It is 1944 in Paris. Jeanne Devère, a free-thinke, has joined a resistance group alongside her husband. She writes for the clandestine paper ” Action “. At great risk to his life, Marc Hétier, Jeanne’s lover distributes the paper. One night Victor Devère and several other members of the movement are arrested and some of them are sent to concentration camps and killed. Jeanne discovers that the traitor is in fact her lover, and from then on she is obsessed with revenge.
The fate of this passionate, avant-garde freedom fighter unfolds to the backdrop of the Liberation of Paris and the post-war years.
