The Second World War claimed the lives of millions of people and left many children orphaned. This documentary explores the untold stories of these orphans, navigating the chaos of the conflict.

The film aims to reveal the complex history of how children were instrumentalized during and after the war. The common thread is the odyssey of a group of Polish orphans who, at the end of hostilities, found themselves in a refugee camp in Tanzania. From their deportation to Siberia to their reception in Canada, their fate was determined by the shifting tides of the post-war era and the early days of the Cold War.
