How are British companies dealing with the liberalization of the European market and the single European currency? Through the examples of three representative companies (British Airways, British Telecom and British Aerospace), we chose to show the dynamism of the British economy today. Unemployment is on the way down, and companies are investing – the British economy is in surprisingly good health compared to its European partners, arousing both fear and admiration. Privatization has become the backbone of management for many European states. Privatized before all the others, British companies are also the first to consider Europe as a real single market. What if the Europe of tomorrow resembled the British model?
